Started in November 1974 Nexus has always been the alternative to dating services and marriage bureaux. We, the founders, consider it to be the most comprehensive organisation for unattached people.

As a member you can meet and mix with as many or as few people as suits you. It is presumptuous to believe that all people on their own want a partner – many of us just need others, who, like us, have both the time to spend and the inclination to meet new people.

We have an average of 2 marriages (or setting up home together) a week – but that is because Nexus members are moving in a world of the unattached and have formed their own relationships within the organisation. They are those who do not wish and do not need to ‘put themselves up for grabs’ or have someone else decide who they should meet.

Many people join and do not even frequent the many social events – they are happier drawing a group of like-minded people around them. This can be achieved using all the avenues within the organisation that promote communication (Skill Bank, Leisure Interest Directory, Ice-breakers etc.)

Become a member and the choice is yours – use some or all of Nexus. We have a saying which rings true – it’s this:
